Delta 5 redux

Yet more Delta 5. It's not like there's an infinite supply but I've got five singles by them and if I'm going to post any of them I may as well do them all. I got them all at the same time for probably a buck apiece. I'll stop making excuses.

I'll also humbly admit that I didn't scan these ones myself, but copped the sleeves off of Discogs this time. Hence only the fronts of the second one here.  Perhaps if I have opportunity and fucks to spare, I'll go to the other computer wherein the appropriate sleeve scans reside and correct this terrible omission. I wouldn't exactly hold my breath either.

Actually, I really should cook something.

There's still some leftovers to consume in the fridge, but there's also a duck that should be defrosted by now and in need of turning into deliciousness before I start my work week slog. No hurry though. I'll get it going in the middle of the night when I'm taking a break from Fallout 4 (which I can only assume I'll still be working my way through by the time this posts several months in the future)

The link tells the story or as much as you're likely to need. I picked these up because they were on Rough Trade in that sweet 1979-81 period where Rough Trade seemed to know how to pick 'em.

1980 - Colour

Two bass post-punk funk with a feminist slant or so the various descriptors tend to gravitate towards. It's still rock and roll to me. Kill Rock Stars put out a disc of their collected works if you like it. There's more stuff and better sound. Just saying.

Destroy All Monsters

I could type stuff. I could do research. I could put it all into my own words and pretend it's something original. It wouldn't be, but we could pretend.

Bored (1978)

If Destroy All Monsters is remembered for anything it is that they had Ron Asheton of the Stooges in the band and a former member of the MC5 who joined the band right out of prison. That alone makes it ten times more punk rock than just about anything other than the Ramones coming out of New York at the time.

What Do I Get (1979)

There's a single in between these two that is on my list for someday.

Ben Hogan (1996)

Ben Hogan was a golfer. I don't personally understand the appeal of golf. It just doesn't seem like fun to me.
