Only the Good. No Yammer

Here we go again.

I got nothing.

Tank is empty.

Keyboard acting up.

Start Rite Now (1980)

Two Farfisa driven garagey singles by the Jars from San Francisco. First has a weird verion of "Psycho" by the Sonics.

Time of the Assassins (1980)

The follow up suffers from some reggae influences on the a-side, but the flip is an instrumental entitled "Jar Wars"

Make of that what you will.

  1. I'm very happy that you shared this. I have been compiling a series of San Francisco underground music from about 77-83 on my blog (jonderblog), and have used a couple of your rips (with credit to you as the original uploader). I was going to use a youtube rip of this single from the Jars, so I'm glad that you are sharing it in higher quality, and I hope that you don't mind me redistributing it (so to speak).

    1. There's a few more things in the queue coming up over the next year. The Contractions (1st 7" & lp), Wolvarines and Leila & the Snakes. I probably have some others in the pile somewhere too. Let me know if there's something in particular you're looking for. It's a long shot, but you never know...

  2. Cool! Since you asked (deep breath...) I am looking for EPs by Rebels & Infidels, Xmas Eve, Dennis C. Lee and the Living Daylights, the Sweet Tommy Band, the Cosmetics, "Paranoia Rap" by the Appliances, Atila's "2" and anything by The Golden Gate Jumpers or Christian Lunch.

Also the singles "Lady Jane" by the VIP's, "Blind Leading The Blind" by ICU, "Satisfaction Guaranteed" by the X-Men, Dave & The Customerz, Ryth-A-Rama, Labial Fricative, Elements of Style, Felix Culpa's "Terrorist Love Tourist", and the Psyclones' first single.

Your work here is greatly appreciated, sir.

    1. I will look forward to it, the Wolvarines, and the Contractions in the sweet by and by. I am a big fan of Pearl Harbor, who was one of Leila's Snakes. Thanks again!

    2. It just occurred to me that I never posted the Danny & the Parkins Sisters lp. I'm adding it to the pile.
